81.11005: Business Landscape

This module aims to develop your understanding of the contemporary landscape of business. You’ll examine the internal and external environment of business and define the key issues that are impacting on business currently. 

 

BM1012: Consumer Behaviour

Develop your understanding of what influences consumer behaviour, and the importance of this knowledge in different business and marketing contexts. In this module, you’ll use your knowledge of consumer behaviour to investigate the impact of different consumption patterns in society. You’ll be exposed to contemporary examples in practice as they illustrate and evaluate theoretical aspects of consumer behaviour 

 

BM1013: Introduction To Business And Marketing

This module aims to provide you with an exciting pathway to understand the indispensable role that marketing plays in the business context. You’ll be introduced to the concepts underpinning marketing philosophies and activities. You’ll also develop a clear perspective on the activities of marketing within organisational functions. 

 

EIM2003: Business Futures

This module aims to explore key issues related to the future of business and how organisations can manage these. It will enable you to understand the key issues businesses are likely to face in the future and apply management theories in order demonstrate how organisations can deal with these issues.  

 

BM2005: Digital Marketing

The module aims to provide you with insights into the core aspects of digital marketing. You will appreciate the multiple platforms and digital communication methods available to modern marketers. You will alsoconsider the influences of digital marketing communication on consumer behaviour and organisational decision making. The purpose of the module is to prepare you for future digital marketing careers and provide opportunities to apply knowledge and skills in workplace environments, following the completion of your degree.  

 

BM2017: The Responsible Marketer

This module examines corporate social responsibility (CSR) in the context of marketing. It also explores the principles and practices of social marketing. The module aims to develop your understanding that organisations carry responsibility for how their marketing activities impact society. You will reflect on the importance for marketers to develop both the empathy and skills required of the successful, responsible marketer.  

 

BM2018: Applied Marketing Principles

This module aims to provide you with an understanding of marketing theory via the utilisation of fundamental theoretical perspectives and practical organisational contexts. The module builds on the role of marketing in business strategy, its part in managing brands, and how marketing influences business communications. You’ll explore core components of marketing and contemporary issues in the modern marketing scenario.

Our sandwich degrees offer the perfect blend of academic study and practical work experience, allowing you to build confidence in the workplace and graduate work-ready from your degree programme.  

Our previous graduates have found their sandwich year particularly beneficial as it has allowed them to gain practical, hands-on experience within their chosen career and the opportunity to learn directly from professionals based out in industry. It is not uncommon for sandwich year programmes to also open up future work opportunities in similar fields or professions for our graduates.

BM3001: Business Strategy

This module provides an introduction to strategy and a range of models and theories so you can understand their use in different contexts. The focus is on the development of strategy and strategic concerns given that strategy is inextricably linked to the nature. structure. and success of business.  

 

BM3009: Contemporary Issues In Sustainability

This module will explore the key issues in sustai nability. and ethics. It will encourage you to apply this knowledge to critically appraise the complex interactions and trade-offs between environmental, economic, and social objectives 

 

BM3022: Consumer Psychology And Neuromarketing

BM3006: Running Your Enterprise

This module is for those who might be considering starting their own business or working with a small business to help it grow. You’ll gain a thorough understanding of the small business sector and what impacts a small business. It will enable you to practically apply academic theories to business and understand how small business owners make decisions and plans. Engagement with business is a key feature of this module through case study, test trading through pop-ups or working with an existing business in the profit or non-profit sector. 

 

BM3010: Doing Business In Emerging Markets

The aim of the module is for you to appraise and determine workable solutions that aid in the process of doing business in emerging markets. You’ll study subjects such as the importance of the rise of the middle-class consumer and evaluate the impact of rapid market liberalisationsindustrialisation and urbanisation of markets that shape two-thirds of the modern world. 

 

BM3023: Consultancy Project In Business And Marketing

Work on a live consultancy project with an internal or external partner. This module provides an excellent opportunity for you to apply the various business and marketing skills you have acquired throughout the course so far, as well as develop your collaboration and employability skills. 

 

BM3025: Contemporary Digital And Media Markets

This module aims to equip you with a critical appreciation of the contemporary frameworks, tools and approaches which are available to digital marketers and media creators. You will be equipped to formulate appropriate campaign and media strategies, either in business-to-business or business to consumer markets.
