FAQ

Questions students and parents ask

How does the internship placement work?

A paid Year 3 internship is part of the structure of these UCL degree programmes, so every student completes one. UCL arranges the placement at one of Sri Lanka’s top 15 companies, predominantly in the Colombo district, in your field — you don’t have to find it yourself. You’ll need to have completed Years 1 and 2 and met the academic progression requirements.

Do I need straight A’s to get a scholarship?

No. Scholarships of up to 30% are awarded for academic results, for leadership roles such as head prefect, deputy head prefect, prefect, team captain, club president or President’s Scout, and for sports and extracurricular achievements such as school or ISAC colours and national representation. Your counsellor will confirm what you qualify for.

Can I complete the whole degree in Sri Lanka?

Yes. You study your full UK degree at UCL in Colombo and receive your award from the University of Lancashire, UK.

What qualifications do I need?

Most students join after G.C.E. A/L, a Foundation programme or a Diploma/HND. Entry requirements depend on the programme, and a counsellor will guide you.

What happens after I submit the form?

An admissions counsellor contacts you by phone or WhatsApp to explain entry requirements, fees and your scholarship, and can arrange a campus visit.
