01Overview

Virajini Godapitiya lectures in information technology at UCL. She holds a BSc in Information Technology from the University of Jaffna and an MSc in Information Technology from the University of Kelaniya, where she graduated top of her batch with a Distinction.

She began her academic career as a Demonstrator in Artificial Intelligence at the Open University of Sri Lanka, spent two years as an Academic Instructor in Software Engineering at the Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology, and was a Lecturer and Academic Coordinator at ESOFT Uni Colombo. Her research covers software engineering, machine learning, assistive technology and human-computer interaction.

I believe effective teaching combines academic excellence with practical, student-centered learning.
