University Programmes

The Pearson SRF BTEC Level 4 Professional Diploma in Psychology and Business is for learners who work in, or who want to work in, the psychology and business sectors. This gives the opportunity to gain an understanding of psychological theories and principles which can be applied to the business world. It combines applied psychology with core areas of business management with a strong human element.

Entry Requirements

Sri Lankan General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Level – Pass grade (A-S) OR Sri Lankan GCE Ordinary Level – Pass grade (A-C) in English and Maths, or equivalent

Delivery Method

The units will be delivered by qualified and experienced academics. The students will also be provided with opportunities to participate in various lectures conducted by industry specific professionals. Additionally, the learners will be provided with technical or subject specific assistance during their study phase at UCL.

Assessments and Examinations

There will be no written examinations for this level 4 course. Each module will have a different number of assignments, which may be written, oral presentations, or role play.
Each units has up to six Learning Outcome (or more) which describe what the student will learn in that unit. Each Learning Outcome then has three of four Assessment Criteria (or more) which describe how the students’ knowledge and understanding of the Learning Outcomes will be assessed and Merits and Distinctions will be awarded to the level of achievement of those criteria.
To pass each unit, the student must pass every assessment criterion for that unit. To pass the course/diploma, the student must pass every unit.


1 Year (Full Time)

Progression pathway for Degree Completion

Students successfully completing this qualification will be eligible to enter the 2nd year (Level 5) of Applied Psychology and Management BSc (Hons) degree at University of Nottingham, Malaysia Campus.

Career Progression/ Opportunities

Prepares learners for management careers in industry, government agencies and organisations with a strong human element, such as teaching, training, human resources, advertising, marketing and change management. This qualification provides a fundamental grounding in key concepts and practical skills, allowing learners to progress to direct employment or further their studies with a professional course/ degree in the related sector.
