    Allows students a head start to their British degree and at successful completion students can proceed towards a degree offered by UCLan University to complete the full programme in Sri Lanka

    Pathway programme to start your degree after O’ levels in Sri Lanka to complete the degree in Malaysia or Australia
    We currently offer Diplomas’ in Business, IT and Engineering from Monash College which allows students to proceed towards Monash University in Australia or Malaysia for the second year with a range of pathway majors.

Do you offer any programmes for working professionals?

Yes. Our Professional Diploma programme in Business & Psychology is highly suitable for working professionals in the HR, Training & Development, Sales & Marketing and Customer Service sectors.


What are the study modes offered?

Depending on the programme you wish to enroll, we offer Full time and Part time offered programmes.


Do you provide students with English Language Coaching?

Yes. We have a dedicated English Language department with experienced lecturers who will assist you in improving your language skills. We do also provide IELTS support classes for both Academic & General tests.


Lecturers & Facilities


Who are the Lecturers and where are they from?

UCL lecturers are either PhD or MSc/MBA qualified – and have either studied or taught at reputed US, UK or Australian Universities. Lecturers are hired after a rigorous interview process, and officially confirmed by Monash, Australia.


What are your class-room sizes?

Our class-rooms are designed to accommodate small groups of not more than 25 – 30 in a class room to ensure individual attention is given to the students. .


What are the lab facilities provided at UCL?

Currently we house an IT Lab with 20 PC’s, A Physics Lab, A Chemistry & BIO Lab to support student learning at UCL. .


What are the payment options?

Fees are payable by semester. UCL also assists students in obtaining Student Loan facilities with leading banks and will help facilitate students in accessing student loans. .


Do you have parking facilities?

Yes. We have ample parking to accommodate an approximate of 40 vehicles. .


Study at Monash University, Melbourne – Australia


What is the transition plan for students from Sri Lanka to Monash Melbourne?

During the final Foundation Year semester, students will be asked to list up to five course preferences. Once results are received, students will receive a conditional offer for the first course on their preference ranking. Students do not need to send their MUFY results to Monash.

If a student is successful in meeting all of the admission requirements of one of their course preferences, Monash University will email the student their offer letter. The student must then accept their offer and Monash will send them a Certificate of Enrolment (COE) that they will use to apply for their student visa. .

Briefings are held each semester for students transitioning to Monash with information on courses, how to apply and the course entry requirements.



What are the accommodation options in Melbourne?

Depending on the age of the student, what campus they will be studying at and whether they wish to live on or off campus, we have a range of accommodation options to suit. Students under the age of 18 must have a legal guardian (either a parent or relative they are living with, or a Monash Under 18 Guardian) and live in Monash College under 18 approved accommodation. How do I get my student VISA when I am ready to study in Australia?

Students completing Foundation Year with Universal College Lanka (UCL) will receive a conditional offer for the first course on their preferences. Once you receive and accept your offer letter from Monash you will receive your Confirmation of Enrolment (COE) which you will need to complete your student visa application.

Are we given internships during the study period?

Many Monash courses actively involve our industry partners in both the design and delivery of your education to enable you to be at the forefront of industry knowledge when you graduate.

Can we work Part-time?

Holders of a student visa in Australia are allowed to work up to 40 hours per fortnight, while school is in session, and there is no limit on the number of hours an international student can work during recognised school holidays.

How much money should I allow for the cost of living in Melbourne?

Study at Monash University – Malaysia


What is the transition plan for students from Sri Lanka to Monash Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur)?

A briefing and information session will be held with students during the semester to inform them of the course options available at Monash Malaysia. Students need to submit their application by the due date. Monash Malaysia Admissions will the issue full/conditional offers to students, for students to accept their offer and apply for their Visa. Once results are released, Monash Malaysia will issue students with their full offer.
